Advertising campaign for mobile phone: We had a great day shooting the beautiful actress Maya Ali for Q Mobile at Blenheim Palace today for an Advertising Campaign and Billboard Posters. Maya Ali is a famous actress in Pakistan. We even got to shoot a little red corvette 🙂
Editorial Portrait GQ Magazine: This is a portrait that I shot for GQ magazine, the portrait is of Nigel Boardman one of the head partners at Slaughter and May law firm. I thought it was essentiol that this portrait showed a strong and powerful business man and also fitting in with GQ Magazine editorial style.
Recruitment Brochure Photographer: I was asked to shoot this beautiful recruitment brochure for Slaughter and May with Rose Design. We set out to capture something a bit different for a corporate recruitment brochure, something a bit more relaxed, edgy and a bit more Sunday Supplement than corporate brochure.
Slaughter and May wanted to shoot their brochure in a similar way to my online folio / website lay out and to my surprise, it wasn’t my corporate folio they were talking about, they wanted me to shoot this like my editorial portraits.
The results are nice and relaxed and the portraits have loads of personality.
Corporate Portrait Photographer: I’m extremely fortunate that my business clients also book me for the style that I love to shoot and I’m known for i.e. portraits shot in daylight and natural, keeping it real. I’m always being asked to add some behind the scene shots of me at work but I never get the time to do so, I only had one person to shoot on this assignment, so thought I’d take the opportunity to have my assistant Paul take some behind the scene shots.
The photos were taken in the Barclay’s head office in Canary Wharf and was shot for one of my American clients, a creative agency based in Boston. The photo is of Kara Larsen a Vice President at Barclay’s Bank.
Speirs + Major is a UK-based design practice .
Editorial Portrait Photographer London: I was asked to shoot this lovely feature for Sainsbury’s magazine. “Soul Food” the spread is about three women who cook to heal using food as therapy. (Most people cook out of necessity, for fun or a combination of the two).
We shot Jane Clarke (far right) on the Thursday then Serena Urquhart (far left) and Sinead McLeod (middle) on the Friday as they weren’t available to shoot on the same day. The images were then stitched together to make the one photo. We managed to make it look like they were all shot together in the same room at the same time, not an easy task, it can be tricky to make it look convincing but I think it’s safe to say that we pulled it off. Both photographs were shot using a mixture of daylight and studio flash to give it a nice natural feel.
